Christian Meditation
in Schools
From 2016 - 2020 the Centre for Children and Young People at Southern Cross University partnered with the World Community for Christian Meditation, London, to better understand the benefits and challenges of meditation in schools. The CYRA Service supported the partnership.

Our involvement included:
-
Undertaking a comprehensive literature review collating the benefits for children of engaging in different forms of meditation and mindfulness techniques and the benefits and challenges of adopting such practices in schools.
-
Designing a cohesive look and feel for the project.
-
Developing a full, colour summary of key findings from both the literature review and Christian Meditation-specific research, which was then translated into Spanish and Portuguese.
-
Preparing a suite of evidence-based social media graphics to support meditation in schools.
